Calling Areas.
Springwell Close and Victoria
Road have been singled out by
North Yorkshire County Council
for a ‘No Cold Calling
Initiative.’
Quite simply this means that if
the residents wish it, then an
official Police notice will be
posted, and householders have a
special telephone number to
report any infringements.
Do they work?
In the last two years NO
residents living within the 200
such zones in North Yorkshire
have fallen victim to doorstep
crime, so YES, they work.
BUT…
Residents have to vote in favour
of this move, please let your
local Parish Councillor know if
you are, or are not, in favour
of this, as soon as you can.
