The Acre Mill
site received planning
permission for 14 houses earlier
this year. It also had
permission granted earlier for
22 houses, so you might wonder
why apply for fewer.
If permission is granted for 15
or more, then usually some of
these have to be ‘affordable’
homes, for 14 or fewer, then
Craven District Council do not
insist on this, although they
could.
The Parish Council is not happy
about this situation, regarding
it as an extension of the
present Acre Mill development
which would then have carried an
affordable housing element, and
is actively working on it.
On October 10th at 2:00 p.m. in
Settle Town Hall it will be the
subject of a Planning
Consultation Process discussion
by the Yorkshire Local Councils
Associations. |
