“We moved into the village with mobiles on the 3 network and reception here is pretty dire. The contract is due to end soon so are wondering who to go with next.
We're in the houses opposite Acre Meadow and get 2 out of 5 bars on GPRS (at best inside, sometimes no service depending on where you stand) & can't get a 3G service at all.
Please reply with:
Mobile operator & signal strength.
Cheers
Ben & Sam”

“My phone is with T-Mobile and the signal is awful in Cowling, usually 1 bar if I'm standing outside and the wind is blowing in the right direction!!!! In the house I'm lucky if I can get any signal at all. My hubby has a Vodaphone one and gets near perfect signal strength. Hope that helps Rachel”

“I am also with 3 network and had the very same problems when I moved to the village last August. However a quick phone call to 3 and with a bit of tinkering from them, the problem was solved. Since then I have full signal anywhere in the village both indoors and out. It might be worth giving them a ring before switching as it doesn't sound like other networks are much cop either.”

“I use Tesco Mobile. I've never had any problems here with reception or sending, either calls or texts.”

“Me and my partner are both on Orange and it is pretty poor, always tending to drop out of reception in the middle of a call. A friend of ours was also on 3G as she had been sold it sayin it had perfect reception at this postcode. Currently she is stuck in the contract and they have admitted there is no coverage in this area. Unfortunately think it is a problem with most of the mobile networks.”
