“Cowling made it to the U13's League Cup final for the second successive year when they beat Colne7-1 in the semis. Playing with a stiff breeze in the first half, Cowling opened up a 6-0 lead, with some super attacking football. In the second half when they needed to defend they did it superbly keeping their shape and working hard to limit Colnes pressure on the Cowling goal. Ten minutes from the end Cowling scored their seventh and two minutes later Colne scored their consolation goal. Scorers were Oliver Williams with a hat-trick, Gino Biancardo with two and Ellis Denton and Josh Wood with one each.”
