“A report of the meeting is on the council website at
WWW.Cowlingcouncil.co.uk
including a press report prepared by the council.
The local press (Craven Herald) apologised for not making the meeting, but are intending a report on it.
The people of Cowling turned out in force to let their feelings be known, it was an excellent and extremely well attended meeting. After two public meetings and a thorough questionnaire there can be no doubt in the minds of the District Council as to the wishes of the villagers of Cowling, those wishes have been made very clear.
Meanwhile Firebird Homes have purchased four houses on Acre Mill for affordable homes from Skipton Properties, so there will be some availability, although demand from villagers appears to have decreased considerably possibly due to the fall in house prices.”
