“How is the Litter Picking scheme progressing? Is it "off the ground" yet (excuse the pun)?
I walk down the main road most Saturdays for a paper, and litter picking is so easy to do.
I normally find approx. 10/12 items and put them in the nearest dust bin. I think, or hope, there are more people want to see the village tidy than there are those who continue to
drop (or throw from vehicles) their unwanted packaging. Don't motorists have a dust bin at home? Would be asking too much of them to put their litter in a plastic bag and dispose of it properly?

“Walk down village most days, take a carrier bag and pick up on way back - but had a nasty shock the other day, bent to pick up a squashed can, and hiding underneath was an awful pile of "you know what!" Too much inf.? Do think some of litter blows from off the bin lorry, and from tops of bins if bags are not tied up!
