2) How do I put a message on the
message board?
Type something into the box. Click the 'Submit' button.
3) How do I reply to a message?
Click on the message you wish to reply to and type what you want
to say into the box. Click the 'Submit' button.
4) What messages can I put up here?
Anything you like. Any subject at all. The only rule is that
your post has to have some relevance to Cowling!
5) Do I have to put my real name?
Yes. If you want people to take your post serious we
suggest using your real name. Any posts that do not have
real names will not be allowed.
6) Why do I have to put my email address?
We added this to the message board on the 10th September
2005 -
The main reason for adding it is to stop anonymous posters
using the message board to air grievances and also to
cut down on none valid posts.
7) Will my email address be viewable on the message board?
No. It can only be viewed by Admin and will only be used
when needed to verifying credible posts.
8) Why do Cowlingweb Admin remove email
addresses from posts?
Due to email spam bots searching the
message board we removed email address
from the post and replaced it with
"Email address removed by Cowlingweb
Admin - Please Contact Cowlingweb for
email address” The email address in
question is then kept on file and given
out only for genuine enquiries that
relate to the original message or
messages.
9) Why can't I read my message straight away?
Since the site is here for the whole community it is our
responsibility to make sure that all content is of good taste
and decency.
10) What about obscenity
We do not and will not allow posts onto the message
board that contain obscenity
11) Banned Words Filter?
Due to spam posts we have built in a filter to block
words Cowlingweb class as unwanted on the message board,
when a banned word is found within a post a message when
submitting the post will say "Banned Words Found in
Post!"
12) Can I delete a message?
No, but you can e-mail us and ask us to delete it.
13) Who do I complain to when I read something on here that
offends me?
e-mail us with your complaint. If there's something up here that
is genuinely offensive, we'll remove it.
