Although this is not really a Cowling related item it is something for over 10 years I have always been interested in due to an interesting story that Ray Thornton a local walker told me of a memorial stone on Pinhaw Moor showing the place were beacon man Robert Wilson was found dead in 1805.

Well a big thank you to Ray for taking the time out to re-visit the stone and this time he had his digital camera with him and emailed me the photographs below.

The stone reads.
