SPECIAL SILVER JUBILEE EVENTS
SATURDAY 4th JUNE

THE CROWNING OF THE JUBILEE QUEEN, Miss Julia Riley by
Miss Kathleen Whitaker, Coronation Queen 1952,10-00 a.m. at the
County Primary School, followed by the distribution of Jubilee
Crown Coins to all Cowling Children of school age, up to the age of 16
Children of under school age on 7th June, will receive their Jubilee
Crown Coins in September.

SATURDAY 4th JUNE

TEA AND CONCERT, for all Cowling residents 65 years of age and
over in the Village Hall.

Tea served at 4.00p.m. Concert to commence 6.30p.m.
Doors open to all residents from 6.00 p.m.

SUNDAY 5th JUNE

A UNITED SILVER JUBILEE SERVICE will be held at the Cowling
Parish Church conducted by Rev.R.D.Carter and Rev. MeI.W.Quick.
The Service will commence at 10.30 a.m. and will follow the National
printed Order of Service, copies of which will be provided.

JUBILEE DAY 7th JUNE
PROGRAMME OF EVENTS.

1.30 p.m. PROCESSION AND PAGEANT to leave Middleton
headed by The Skipton Band, proceeding through
the village to the Recreation Ground.

3.00 p.m. Selections of music by the Skipton Band on the field.

3.30 p.m. Opening of Celebrations by the Jubilee Queen.

3.40 p. m. Crowning of the Gala Queen.

4.00 p.m. Sports organised by the Bay Horse Social Club.
Church's Fun Fair

Refreshments will be available throughout the
afternoon.

5.30 p.m. Clay Pigeon Shoot.

6.15 p.m. Young People's Disco in the marquee.

8.00 p.m. Adult Disco in the marquee. Admission 1.00
(including super). Licence applied for.

At Dusk. Lighting of Beacon on Earl's Crag.

12 Midnight GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.
