COWLING PARISH MEETING HELD AT THE BOARD SCHOOL DECEMBER 4TH, 1894 AT 7.30.

CHAIRMAN

MOVED - THAT MR BEN SNOWDEN BE THE CHAIRMAN
PROPOSED - BY MR THOMAS WATSON
SECONDED - BY MR JOHN FORTE
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
CHAIRMAN APPOINTED MR JOHN HEATON TO TAKE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING
CHAIRMAN TOOK THE CHAIR AT 7 .30PM

NOMINATIONS - CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR NOMINATIONS. THIRTY ONE PAPERS
HANDED IN . SIX OF THESE WERE DUPLICATES: THERE WAS CONSEQUENTLY
TWENTY FIVE SEPARATE NOMINATIONS. CHAIRMAN VERIFIED ALL NAMES OF THE
PROPOSERS AND SECONDERS. LIST ARRANGED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER OF
SURNAMES AND READ TO THE MEETING BY THE CHAIRMAN.

WITHDRAWALS.
WITHDRAWALS WERE CALLED FOR THE CHAIR AND FIVE WERE RECEIVED. VIZ MR BEN SNOWDON, JOHN FORT, JOHN HEATON, JOHN SMITH AND
JOHN BANNISTER. LIST THUS REDUCED TO TWENTY. LIST READ TO THE
MEETING 8Y THE CHAIRMAN. CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY THE CHAIRMAN AS TO
