Cowlingway Book -
Published June 2006
| A number of
years ago Cowling Parish Council
formed a ‘working group’ of
council members to look at
publicising Cowling through some
of its more scenic footpaths.
After a lot of hard work by Ken
Edgar and the Cowlingway working
group the book is now available
from Cowlingweb, local shops and
Parish Councillors. |
The Cowlingway book
was published in June
2006 with the route of
some of the footpaths of
Cowling featuring
historical points of
interest along the way.
Included within the book
are historical and route
photographs. The book is in full
colour, and laminated to
protect it from the
Cowling weather during
its use!
Along with the book the
plan is also to have an artist’s
impression by
David Hoyle of the route mounted in a
frame outside the
starting point of the
route – The Memorial
Gardens. |
