David Hoyle - A
Collection of Cowling Local History
Memories CD's
 |
On the
4th January 2005, David
began a session of voice
recordings with Cowling
History Group Moonrakers.
David personally was
recorded on to 2 CD's on
his own and also did 2
more with another local
man Norman R Binns.
David had a unique way
of telling tales of the
village in its native
dialect, something that
is now very rare but
thankfully captured for
posterity by Moonrakers
for future generations.
Sadly David passed away
on the 14th of March
2009, aged 83 years old.
As a memorial to David,
Moonrakers have kindly
given permission to
Cowlingweb to put both
CD 1 & 2 on the website
for anyone in the world
to listen to or
download.
David was a real
gentleman and although
no longer with us he
will always be
remembered for his deep
love of the people and
the history of Cowling. |
