Cowling Village
Newsletter - February 2010
|
We are back but our
fingers are frozen to our keyboards!
Happy New Year to all and we really do
hope that 2010 will be a very good year!
Even if we are starting it in the
coldest weather I can remember for a
long time but the snow does look lovely
when you look up over to Cowling Hill
and all the dry stone walls are criss
crossing what are now pure white fields
that looks like the perfect winter
scene! Wonderful!
And the South Craven School children
were given an extra 4 days off school.
"E when I was a kid" comes to mind.
Photos from in and around the village
are always welcome. So this time my
thanks go to Tim Abbott for sending me
the image that we are using for the new
main banner on the site!
In the next couple of weeks we are
hoping to introduce new face to the
Cowlingweb family. A new admin for the
message board.
It will be a name and face that many
people will already know and I hope she
will enjoy helping us out as much as we
are looking forward to her joining us in
keeping the site up to date and as
relevant to the village as possible.
Cowlingweb is FREE and for that reason
we do not chase information to go on it.
If a village events is not publicised on
here it is simple due to the organisers
not getting in touch or supplying us
with the event details.
So that is it. The start of a New Year.
Lets all wait and see what 2010 brings! |
| But remember we have
had snow for the past 3 year now! |

It’s
been a fun and very rewarding journey to
get Cowlingweb to where is it today and
along the way we have met some really
nice people some who have become really
good friends.
But time moves on and time is something
we are finding ourselves with less and
less these days so we need help to keep
the website running on a day to day
basis.
We are looking for someone to admin the
message board and also people to admin
and moderate a forum that has been in
the background of the site for over a
year now but was never implemented into
the website.
So if you feel you can spare a couple of
hours a week and want to help keep the
website moving forward we would like to
hear from you.
